One Day Master. Ten ways the chart relates.

Ten Gods translate element and polarity relationships into a shared interpretive vocabulary. Placement matters as much as the label itself.

01 · 日主

Start from the Day Master

The same stem can represent a different Ten God for a different person because the Day Master is always the reference point.

02 · 阴阳

Separate the direct and indirect pairs

Element relationship sets the five axes; matching or opposite polarity separates each axis into its two classical forms.

Year, Month, Day, and Hour pillars cover different life domains, while hidden stems add less visible structural layers.

What are the Ten Gods in BaZi?

The Ten Gods, or Shi Shen (十神), are ten relationship categories created by comparing each stem in a BaZi chart with the Day Master. They are symbolic labels, not deities.

How does the calculator find my Ten Gods?

It first calculates the Four Pillars and Day Master, then compares element and Yin-Yang polarity for every visible stem, branch main energy, and hidden stem.

Why is the Day Stem labeled Day Master instead of a Ten God?

The Day Stem is the reference point used to classify every other stem. It represents the self, so it is labeled Day Master rather than compared against itself as a separate placement.

What do Direct and Indirect Ten Gods mean?

Each of the five relationship axes has two polarity variants. Classical names include Direct and Indirect Wealth, Officer and Seven Killings, Resource and Indirect Resource, Eating God and Hurting Officer, and Friend and Rob Wealth.

Are hidden-stem Ten Gods included?

Yes. The free result lists the Ten God relationships carried by the hidden stems inside all four Earthly Branches as well as the visible placements.

Does one dominant Ten God predict an outcome?

No. Repetition is only one structural signal. Placement, season, Day Master strength, combinations, clashes, and timing all affect interpretation, so no single label guarantees an event or trait.
